I’m in a season of intentional growth and am opening the door to potentially bringing the right individual onto my team.

📸 I’m on the lookout for an artistic, dependable, and kind-hearted photographer to join me on a seasonal, as-needed basis in both second and associate lead positions. I’m not in a rush to fill the position, I’m more interested in finding the right, dedicated individual who truly aligns with my values, personality, and approach to weddings and who could naturally become an extension of me and my brand.

About Melissa V.

Melissa V. is a wedding-focused business based in Southwestern Ontario, offering wedding photography, coordination, and planning support for couples who value intention, connection, and a calm, well-organized wedding experience. I’m ready to expand into offering my clients both my wedding photography and planning/coordination together in one package. Because my work is deeply personal and client-facing, expanding my team is something I’m approaching slowly and thoughtfully.

While photography is a core part of my brand, my work goes far beyond capturing beautiful images. I also love supporting couples through my full planning and day of coordination services. My approach to weddings, no matter what service is being offered, is people-first, detail-aware, and deeply rooted in creating a positive, friendly and relaxed experience for both couples and their guests.

Visually, my style leans elegant, romantic, and candid, with a strong emphasis on artistic storytelling, emotion, and real moments. Personally, I value kindness, professionalism, and a calm and personable energy, especially on wedding days, where adaptability and teamwork matter just as much as technical skill.

Because I am the face of the business and work very closely with my clients, alignment in values, communication style, and overall approach to weddings is incredibly important.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for someone who:

• Loves weddings and understands how many moving parts are involved
• Is comfortable stepping into a supportive, team-oriented position
• Can adapt to different responsibilities depending on the needs of the week or wedding day
• Is not building their own photography business brand but rather is interested in growing alongside me in my small, intentional wedding brand

The goal for this position is to grow into a permanent Associate Lead Photographer role after we’ve had the opportunity to work together and confirm the fit, both personally and professionally. For that next step, alignment with my personality, visual style, client experience standards, and wedding-day philosophy are all equally essential.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Second Photographer:

• Capturing portraits both independently and alongside myself
• Capturing candid moments, guest interactions, alternate angles, and supporting coverage
• Capturing the wedding ceremony, both independently and alongside myself.
• Depending on the day - either assisting or leading the family photo session portion of the wedding day
• Being attentive to details, people, and logistics, not just the camera
• Representing the Melissa V. brand with professionalism, warmth, and care

Photographer Requirements

• Must have your own professional photography equipment
• Bonus if you shoot on Canon (not required)
• Bonus if you have wedding photography experience, but not required if you are motivated to learn and already know the basics

General Requirements

• Must have your own reliable transportation
• Must be willing to travel to wedding locations across London and surrounding counties (up to 2-3 hours away sometimes)
• Comfortable with City Travelling
• Must be available on weekends during wedding season (May-Oct)

Compensation & Details

This will begin as a seasonal, casual / as-needed position with potential of growing into a permanent lead position if you end up being the right person to help fully represent me and my brand. Both wage and travel compensation will be discussed and varies depending on experience.
